Couture is even more of a badass than we thought
It turns out that in Randy Couture’s successful title defense on Saturday that he had a broken arm when he won the match.
“It’s not displaced, so the doctors think it will reattach in about a week and a half,” said Couture.
So, yeah. His arm will REATTACH in a week and a half. Are you serious? And Gonzaga took a break halfway through the match because he had some blood in his eyes? I hate to characterize sports performances as gutty, because I tend to think that what our soldiers are doing is gutty, and what police officers, firefighters, and teachers do is gutty, and I just don’t think that athletes belong on that level. However, winning a match with a broken arm definitely takes a special sort of athlete, and Randy Couture has proven that he belongs in the elite ranks.
